Celje, 05 September (STA) - The main new feature of the 45th International Trade Fair MOS, taking place in Celje from 12 to 18 September, will be the rearrangement of exhibition programmes according to their content, general manager of the Celje fairgrounds operator Breda Obrez Preskar said on Wednesday.
The annual trade fair, which will be a day shorter than usual as most of the exhibitors wished, will see over 1,600 exhibitors from 34 countries and will also feature presentations of eight countries, with the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Thailand being presented at the fair for the first time.
According to Obrez Preskar, all these countries see great potential for economic cooperation with Slovenia and the region.
A fresh wind for the MOS fair will also be the opening ceremony, which is to be marked by a summit for small and medium-sized businesses, where Economic Development and Technology Minister Radovan Žerjav will answer questions of businesses present at the fair.
Thursday will bring an international conference on business opportunities in Slovenia with a meeting of trade and business representatives from the EU and SE Europe, a business conference on investment opportunities for Slovenian companies in Serbia and a presentation of Ecuador's economy.
This will be followed by the day of business diplomacy on Friday, when among other events Foreign Minister Karl Erjavec will present Slovenia's activities in business diplomacy and exchange views with entrepreneurs on boosting international cooperation.
Among numerous conferences taking place at the fair, Obrez Preskar further highlighted the seminar on doing business successfully in Austria and Italy, organised by the Slovenian Chamber of Trade Crafts and Small Business (OZS) as part of the iCON project.
She noted that Italy and Austria would be very well represented at the fair, while the list of traditionally strong partners also included Croatia, Germany and Serbia.
