Ljubljana, 30 July (STA) - The group around Abanka, Slovenia's third largest bank by assets, reported a net profit of EUR 9.48m for the first half of 2010, up 32% over the year before, according to the bank's interim report released on Friday.
The core bank saw a net profit rising by a fifth to EUR 9.74m.
Total assets increased 2.8% since the beginning of the year to EUR 4.69bn.
Loans to companies were up 6.5% year-on-year and loans to households rose 4.2%.
"We are pleased with H1 performance despite uncertain conditions on financial markets and in the economy," the bank said.
