Novo mesto, 26 April (STA) - Caravan maker Adria Mobil reported on Thursday a EUR 1.2m net profit on EUR 230m in net revenues for 2011, which is an 11% and 13% improvement on 2010 respectively.
The Novo mesto-based company sold 941 caravans and camper vans in 2011, which is almost 7% more than the year before.
Adria Mobil labelled last year a success, saying that spending on new products, active cooperation with distribution partners and a streamlining of operations allowed it to exceed targets.
The company has been doing well during the crisis, managing to increase is market share in Europe in this period by half a percentage point to almost 6%.
Still, Adria Mobil stressed that the situation on the market remains volatile as governments in Europe are mostly deciding for austerity measures.
This could lead to the company's sales dropping in some of its "large and important markets, such as Italy, Spain, the Netherlands and Denmark".
