Celje, 30 August (STA) - Banke Celje, a member of the NLB banking group, made a net loss of EUR 5.4m in the first half of the year as a result of EUR 19.1m in impairments and provisions.
According to a press release from the Celje-based bank, profits from continuing operations increased by EUR 2m year-on-year to EUR 12.7m. Total assets dropped by 4.1% in the first half of the year to EUR 2.177bn.
The proportion of deposits by the non-banking sector rose from 62% to 63%, and the percentage of debt to banks fell by 12% to 10%.
The ratio between net loans and deposits of the non-banking sector was 1.08 and the bank retained a 70% share in crediting of non-banking customers in its investment operations.
The capital adequacy ratio stood at 12.73% and the core capital ratio at 9.46% at the end of June. Both exceeded the regulatory standards.
