Ljubljana, 07 April (STA) - The SBI TOP benchmark index on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange gained 0.46% to 968.23 points on Wednesday as all but one of the six blue chips composing it closed higher. The LJSEX composite index followed suit, adding 0.73% to 3,947.43.
The most active item, pharma Krka was the only on the losing side, shedding 2.13% to EUR 69.27 on EUR 1.14m in volumes. Total turnover stood at EUR 4m.
However, the slide was offset by surges in household appliance maker Gorenje and the NKBM bank, which added 3.5% to EUR 14.21 and 3.36% to EUR 12, respectively.
Strong growth was also posted by retailer Mercator (+2.42% to EUR 163.78) and insurer Zavarovalnica Triglav (2.83% to EUR 23.99).
Telecoms operator Telekom Slovenije added 1.04% to EUR 125.76 and energy company Petrol was all but flat (+0.02% to EUR 303.51). Also among gainers was port operator Luka Koper (+1.5% to EUR 22.38).
On the other hand, logistics company Intereuropa shed 1.61% to EUR 4.28 and beverage company Pivovarns Lasko was down 1.79% to EUR 22.50.
