Ljubljana, 09 November (STA) - A total of 4,285 new cars and vans were registered in Slovenia in October, a fall of 16.5% year-on-year, the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce (TZS) said on Friday. The most popular car model was Renault's Clio, followed by Volkswagen's Polo.
The number of newly registered cars fell by 17.8% from October last year to 3,738, while van sales dropped 6% year-on-year to 547 new vans.
Volkswagen sold the most new cars in October (493), followed by Renault (472) and Peugeot (412).
Peugeot meanwhile took the biggest market share in vans with 29.6%, while Renault had a 22.9% market share and Volkswagen took 20.8% of Slovenia's van market.
In the first ten months of 2012, 47,728 new cars and vans were registered in Slovenia, which is 15.3% less than in the same period last year, with car sales dropping 16.7% and van sales falling by 2.5%.
