Radovljica, 22 September (STA) - Atotech Slovenija, a part of the German chemical corporation Atotech, laid a foundation stone for a EUR 5m production and storage plant in Podnart, northern Slovenia, on Wednesday.
The company will double its production capacities and increase its storage capacities by a third with the new plant. General Manager Mariana Rebernik said that new jobs will be created as a result.
The company currently has a staff of 50 and expects to increase that to 70 once the plant is operational.
Construction company Gradbeno podjetje Kranj will begin construction work on the 3,400-sq.-metre facility within a month.
Rebernik said business for Atotech was expanding in spite of the crisis. She added that the new facility would also improve environmental protection at the company.
The company has been a part of the German Atotech multinational since 1997. It produces tempering salt and metal and plastic finishes and performs final processing of circuits.
