Celje, 09 September (STA) - Representatives of the Chamber of Trade Crafts and Small Business (OZS) and the Public Agency for Entrepreneurship and Foreign Investments (JAPTI) presented opportunities for investment in Slovenia at an international conference held as part of the International Trade Fair (MOS) in Celje on Thursday.
The main purpose of the meeting was to present a possibility for foreign investors and their Slovenian counterparts to meet and establish ties. For companies to grow it is vital that they cooperate internationally, and this cannot be achieved without such meetings, Andrej Poglajen of the OZS said.
JAPTI CEO Igor Plestenjak explained Slovenia's unique business environment, where 60% of gross revenues comes from exports, 70% of which go to Europe, which was highly affected by the crisis. Plestenjak highlighted that the Slovenian economy is recovering and Slovenia stands ready to offer assistance to potential investors.
The conference was attended by representatives of about 200 companies from the EU, Southeastern Europe and Russia, with about half of the participants from Slovenia.
