Consumer Confidence Down in February

Ljubljana, 21 February (STA) - Slovenia's consumer confidence declined in February, the confidence index dropping by two percentage points over the month before. Year-on-year, it was down tree percentage points, the Statistics Office said on Monday.

The consumer confidence index was lower only once since June 2009, according to the statisticians.

Confidence was down as consumers expressed more pessimistic predictions about the financial situation in households in the next 12 months. The relevant index was down by eight percentage points in February.
