Consumer Confidence Down Slightly in June

Ljubljana, 21 June (STA) - The consumer confidence index in Slovenia was down slightly in June, dropping a percentage point compared to both May and last June and three percentage points compared to last year's average, Statistics Office data released on Friday show.

The drop at the monthly level is mainly attributed to more pessimistic expectations of consumers in terms of savings in the next 12 months, with the relative index decreasing by four percentage points compared to May.

The index of the state of household finances in the next 12 months was up six percentage points, and the index measuring price trends in the last 12 months increased by eight percentage points.

The latter index was up two percentage points compared to June 2012, and by 12 percentage points compared to last year's average.
