Ljubljana, 23 August (STA) - Consumer confidence dropped by one percentage point in August over July, and also by one percentage point compared to August 2009. The drop was a result of pessimistic predictions about the unemployment rate for the next 12 months, the Statistics Office said on Monday.
The expectations concerning unemployment dropped by four percentage points in August over July and stood at the lowest rate since March.
Consumers' confidence rate still stands two percentage points above the average for 2009.
