DBS Bank Narrows Loss in 2012

Ljubljana, 26 April (STA) - Deželna banka Slovenije (DBS), one of the smaller Slovenian banks, ended 2012 with a net loss of EUR 7.58m, a slight improvement over EUR 8.8m in net loss the year before.

Net write-downs were also roughly on par with last year's, amounting to EUR 16.3m compared to EUR 14.9m in 2012.

Total assets dropped 3% year-on-year to EUR 866.85m while provisions increased by EUR 801,000 to EUR 2.44m. The capital adequacy ratio edged down to 11.47% from 11.90%.
