Ljubljana, 03 December (STA) - The national commission for innovation conferred on Thursday as part of the 5th Slovenian Innovation Forum this year's awards for the most innovative products, services and business model in Slovenia. The Novo mesto-based drug maker Krka, one of Slovenia's biggest companies, was also among the winners.
The organiser of the event, the Agency for Entrepreneurship and Foreign Investments (JAPTI), said in a press release that Krka won the award in the category best innovative product by a company for its orodispersibile tablets.
IT company Intelius received the award for the best innovative service by a company for its collaboration and information-sharing web platform Flowr, which is modelled on social network Facebook.
The Ljubljana Faculty of Mechanical Engineering got the award for the best innovative product by innovators and R&D companies for cryogenic cutting system SusCryMacom, a sustainable alternative to conventional cutting processes.
The award for the best innovative service by innovators and R&D companies went to Ziga Ramsak and IT company CGS Plus for an algorithm used for land surveying in reconstruction of roads.
Lighting company Svetloba was meanwhile the winner in the best innovative business model category for its energy-efficient industrial lighting system Reflecta.
