Ljubljana, 01 December (STA) - The Slovenian Enterprise Fund disbursed EUR 20m in loan guarantees in the latest call for applications in October, bringing the total to EUR 72m this year. The money released loans worth EUR 100m to over 450 companies, the institution said Tuesday.
Helping small and medium-sized enterprises get credit was the main task of the Enterprise Fund this year. In addition to the EUR 72m, the fund allocated EUR 11.5m for subsidised interest.
The loan guarantee scheme, conducted in cooperation with the Economy Ministry and the European Investment Fund, will continue next year. EUR 62m will be available for loan guarantees and EUR 8.5m for subsidised interest.
