Ljubljana, 09 September (STA) - Slovenia exported EUR 1.902bn worth of goods in July, which marks an increase of 7% on the same month a year ago. Imports of merchandise meanwhile rose by 2.8% to EUR 1.884bn, official statistics show.
According to a preliminary report from the Statistics Office for July, export-import ratio was100.9%.
Exports to EU countries represented nearly 75% (EUR 1.422bn) of all goods exported in July, and imports from those countries accounted for 80% (EUR 1.509bn) of all Slovenia's imports.
Exports in the first seven months of the year totalled EUR 12.698bn, up 2.3% on the same period a year ago. Imports fell by 0.1% to EUR 13.011bn.
The trade gap by the end of July was EUR 314m and exports represented 97.6% of imports.
