Exports Rose 3.3% in January

Ljubljana, 12 March (STA) - Slovenia's exports rose 3.3% year-on-year in January, whereas imports were up 4%, according to preliminary figures released by the Statistics Office on Tuesday. The coverage of imports with exports was 88.4%.

Exports amounted to EUR 1.64bn and imports were at EUR 1.86bn, but the Statistics Office points out that the imports data involves a large one-off transaction that renders year-on-year comparison difficult.

EU countries accounted for 71.1% of total exports and 73% of imports.
