Ljubljana, 20 April (STA) - Factory gate prices were up 0.4% in March over February and rose by 5.3% year-on-year, according to data from the Statistic Office published on Wednesday.
On the monthly level, prices increased in consumer goods (by 0.7%) and intermediate goods (by 0.6%), while remaining level in investment products and dropping by 0.3% in energy.
In March factory-gate prices increased the most in production of rubber and plastic (by 1.7%), followed by a 1.2% rise in basic metals.
The biggest drops were recoded in computer and optical products industry (by 1.6%) and in electricity (by 0.6%).
Factory-gate prices on the monthly level increased by 0.5% in Slovenia and by 0.4% on foreign markets.
Prices of products sold to foreign markets gained 7.5% year-on-year and 4.8% on the domestic market.
The highest hike on the annual level was recorded in metallurgy (by 23.9%) and in rubber and plastic products (by 11.7%)
The biggest drop year-on-year was recorded in vehicle and vessels production (by 0.2%).
