Ljubljana, 21 February (STA) - Factory-gate prices remained unchanged in January over December 2013, while decreasing 0.5% at the annual level. Prices of export products and of products sold in Slovenia also remained level, the Statistics Office said on Friday.
A breakdown of price changes by type of product shows that consumer goods prices and energy prices remained level compared to December. On the other hand, prices of investment products were up by 0.6%.
A significant price increase was recorded in the production of petroleum coke and other petroleum products (by 3.6%), metals (0.9%) and pharmaceuticals (0.9%).
A drop was meanwhile recorded in wood processing (by 1.1%), production of electrical devices (0.8%) and other miscellaneous manufacturing activities (0.6%).
The prices of products sold in the eurozone were up 0.1%, while the prices of products sold outside the eurozone were down 0.1%.
At the annual level, prices of export products were down by 0.6% in January, while prices of products sold in Slovenia were down 0.3%.
