Ljubljana, 21 August (STA) - Factory-gate prices in Slovenia remained unchanged in July compared to June, while they increased 0.8% year-on-year, shows data published on Tuesday by the Statistics Office. Prices of goods sold on foreign markets increased by 0.2% on the monthly level, whereas domestic market prices were down 0.2%.
Consumer goods prices increased by 0.3%, capital goods prices were up 0.2%, while intermediate goods and energy were cheaper by 0.2% and 0.4% respectively compared to the previous month.
In July, factory-gate prices increased the most in the manufacture of furniture (by 2.2%), in water collection, treatment and supply (by 1.5%), in the manufacture of basic pharmaceutical products and preparations (by 0.9%), and in the manufacture of computer and optical products (by 0.8%),
Prices fell in the most the manufacture of coke and petroleum products (by 2.4%), the manufacture of basic metals (by 1.0%) and the manufacture of fabricated metal products (by 0.6%).
Year-on-year, factory-gate prices grew by 0.8%. A 0.9% increase was recorded on the domestic market and a 0.6% rise on foreign markets.
