Ljubljana, 21 September (STA) - Factory gate prices in Slovenia increased by 0.2% in August over July and by 3.5% year on year, the Statistics Office reported on Tuesday.
At the yearly level prices of exported goods went up by 4.1%, and the prices of goods sold on the home market increased by 2.9%.
Prices of goods sold in the eurozone were up by 0.2% at the monthly level, while goods sold out of the eurozone were 0.5% dearer in August.
At the monthly level the highest increases in factory gate prices were recorded in the production of coke and petroleum products (2.7%) as well as in other manufacturing industries (1.4%), while the highest drop was recorded in the production of computer and optical goods (1.3%).
Year on year prices leaped the most in the production of basic metals (24.5%), in water collection, treatment and supply (by 10.8%) and in production of textiles (9.1%). The highest drop was recorded in electricity (1.8%) and in printing and reproduction of recorded media (1.6%).
