Ljubljana, 21 March (STA) - Factory gate prices were up 0.1% in February over the month before and 1.1% higher than in February 2012, the Statistics Office said on Thursday. The prices of products sold on the domestic market remained level in monthly comparison, while the prices of exported goods went up by 0.3%.
On the monthly level, the prices of investment products were up by 0.8%, while the prices of energy were down by 1.6%.
The most noticeable price hikes were recorded in printing and reproduction of recorded media (by 4.0%), in manufacturing of wood and wooden products (by 2.6%), in manufacturing of other transport vehicles and vessels (by 2.6%) and in manufacturing of motor vehicles and trailers (by 1.6%).
In a year-on-year comparison factory gate prices grew by 1.1%. Compared to February 2012, the prices of products sold on the domestic market went up by 1.1% and of those sold on the non-domestic market by 1.0%.
The prices of industrial products sold on the markets of the eurozone increased by 1.2% in annual comparison, and the prices of products sold on third markets by 0.6%.
In one year prices increased the most in manufacturing of rubber and plastic products (by 5.4%), in manufacturing of motor vehicles and trailers (by 4.9%) and in the food processing industry (by 4.5%).
A notable drop in prices was recorded in manufacturing of coke and petroleum products (by 4.0%), in manufacturing of basic pharmaceutical products (by 3.5%) and in manufacturing of basic metals (by 3.3%).
