Ljubljana, 17 June (STA) - Gross value added per employee at companies, cooperatives and sole proprietors stood at EUR 33,137 in Slovenia in 2009, the Statistics Office said on Thursday.
The gross value added was the highest in supply of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning, amounting to EUR 90,637. Financial and insurance sector came second with EUR 77,223 in gross value added per employee.
The lowest gross value added was recorded in administrative and support service activities, where it amounted to EUR 18,559.
According to the Statistics Office, large companies had the highest gross value added per employee, reaching EUR 40,973, while micro companies had the lowest at EUR 24,982.
The published data on gross value added per employee are worked out on the basis of data from the annual reports of companies, funds, cooperatives and entrepreneurs, according to the Statistics Office.
