Ljubljana, 25 March (STA) - Industrial output in Slovenia was down 6.1% compared to December 2009, and 7.9% year-on-year. Inventories meanwhile increased by 0.6% compared to the month before, the Statistics Office said on Thursday.
In an annual comparison, output was down the most in January in electricity, gas and steam supply (-9.7%), followed by manufacturing (-7.5%), and mining and quarrying (-5.9%).
Compared to December 2009, the output of consumer goods was down the most (20.8%), followed by intermediate goods (-2.1%) and investment products (-0.6%).
Labour productivity in 2009 was down more than 8% compared to 2008, according to the office.
