Ljubljana, 10 January (STA) - Slovenia's industrial production dropped 0.7% in November compared to the month before, but it rose 4.6% year-on-year. Inventories remained flat on a monthly basis and dropped 3.5% over the same period last year, the Statistics Office said Monday.
Compared to the month before industrial output rose only in manufacturing, by 1.7%, but it plunged 6.2% in mining and 1.3% in electricity, gas and steam supply.
At the annual level manufacturing output rose 6.1%, electricity, gas and steam supply inched up 0.4% and mining contracted by 4.4%.
Inventories remained flat month-on-month, rising 0.3% in manufacturing and dropping 4.7% in mining and quarrying.
Year-on-year, however, mining and quarrying saw a 26.6% rise in inventories while stocks in manufacturing shrank by nearly 4%.
