Ljubljana, 20 August (STA) - Industrial revenues were up by 1.9% in June, the second consecutive month of growth. At the annual level, revenues in industry grew by 11.5%, the Statistics Office said on Friday.
Meanwhile, order sheets see more good news for industry, with orders rising by 2.7% in June over May and exceeding that of last June by 21.3%.
Half-year industrial revenues were 8.8% higher than in the same period last year, while orders were up 19.5% year-on-year, the Statistics Office added.
In June orders were up owing to a 4.3% jump in orders from abroad. Domestic orders were down 1.9%.
The year-on-year comparison for June shows domestic orders up by 10.4%, while orders from abroad surged 23.7%.
In the first half of 2010, domestic orders exceeded that of the same period last year by 7.7%, while foreign orders were up by 22.2%.
