Ljubljana, 06 April (STA) - Slovenian industrial revenues were down in January by almost 2% compared to December 2009, but were however up 3% year-on-year, the Statistics Office said on Tuesday.
The value of new orders in the first month of 2010 was down 3% on the monthly basis, but almost 10% up in the year-on-year comparison.
Industrial revenues on the Slovenian market were slightly up (+0.4%) in January, while on the foreign markets they were down 3% compared to December.
Compared to January 2009, revenues on the domestic market were down almost 3%. Revenues from foreign markets, on the other hand, were up almost 6%.
On the monthly basis, sales revenues in manufacturing decreased almost 2%, and by almost 6% in mining and quarrying by. Year-on-year, they were up 3% and 2%, respectively.
In intermediate goods industries and in capital goods industries, turnover increased in January by 1% and by 4%, respectively, while in consumer goods industries it decreased by almost 1% compared to December 2009.
