Koper, 26 August (STA) - Logistics group Intereuropa posted a EUR 300,000 net loss in the first six months of 2011 despite growth in all key areas, as sales revenues were up 20% compared to the same period last year to EUR 109.6m.
Intereuropa generated EUR 5.6m in operating profit in the first half of the year, which is 46% above the plans, but 11% down year-on-year, according to a report released on Friday.
The group recorded a rise in sales revenues in all the three key areas; in land transport by 21%, in intercontinental transport by 19% and in logistics solutions by 18%. It also surpassed its half-year plans by 14% in overall sales.
The group focused on customers and sales activities in the first half of 2011, while financial stability, one of the key points and risk factors for its strategic goals, remains at the forefront at all times, the press release adds.
