Ljubljana, 16 April (STA) - Slovenia's registered jobless rate edged 0.1 percentage points higher to 10.7%, but the total number of people out of a job remained below 100,000, the Statistics Office said on Friday.
Unemployment among men stood at 10.1%, an increase of 0.1 percentage points on January, whereas among women it fell 0.1 percentage points to 11.3%.
According to the Statistics Office, the number of registered unemployed people rose by 0.2% on January and 29.3% year-on-year to 99,784.
Meanwhile, the number of people in employment in February stood at 836,038, of which 86,263 were self-employed persons.
The biggest drops in the number of employed people were registered in the construction sector (down by 800), while the biggest spike was seen in the public administration and defence (up 800).
