Labour Costs Fall by 0.5% in Q2

Ljubljana, 06 September (STA) - Labour costs per hour in Slovenia decreased by 0.5% in the second quarter of 2010 compared to the same period a year earlier, the Statistical Office said on Monday.

In this period labour costs decreased the most in professional, scientific and technical activities (by 9.6%), and in the public administration and army (by 6.9%).

On the other hand, labour costs per hour went up the most in water supply, waste management and remediation activities (by 17.3), and in agriculture, forestry and fishing (by 14%).

According to provisional data from Statistical Office, average gross pay in the second quarter of 2010 was up 4.3% year-on-year.
