Ljubljana Airport Reports Nine-Month Profit of EUR 3.92M

Ljubljana, 18 November (STA) - Aerodrom Ljubljana, the operator of the Joze Pucnik Ljubljana Airport, reported on Thursday EUR 24.95m in revenues and EUR 3.92m in net profit for the first nine months of 2010, which is 4.7% and 40.8% less year-on-year, respectively.

The company said in a press release it reached 73.6% of the planned revenues and 94.8% of the planned profit for the January-September period.

According to Aerodrom Ljubljana management, the trend of decreasing revenues and profits, which started in 2009, is continuing, and that players in the air transport business are affected.

Airlines are hit hardest by relatively high prices of fuel, and airport operators also feel the consequences, the company said, adding that a part of the drop in revenues (EUR 1m) is also attributed to the two-week closure in April for runway renovation.
