Novo mesto, 04 October (STA) - Renault Nissan Slovenija inaugurated a new centralised regional car parts warehouse for Renault, Nissan and Dacia brands in an industrial zone near Novo mesto on Friday. The value of the investment has not been disclosed.
The 4,000-square-metre facility is situated on premises rented from company Znass. It will offer 90% of available spare parts in stocks valued at up to EUR 2m, warehouse head Andrej Slak told reporters.
The Paris headquarters would not disclose the value of the investment. Slak said it was one of Renault's 32 most advanced warehouses worldwide, employing 24 staff.
Apart from Slovenia it will supply markets of the former Yugoslavia plus Albania. Its biggest asset is speedy delivery (six hours for Slovenia) and easy access, considering its location in the immediate vicinity of the A2 motorway.
The warehouse was moved to to the new location from the compound of Revoz, Slovenia's subsidiary of the French car maker Renault. Spare parts will be delivered to 140 car dealers at an average rate of 2,400 parts per day.
A good half of the warehouse will serve Slovenian customers, about 25% the Croatian market, 15% the Serbian one and the rest other buyers in the Adriatic region.
The hub will be able to meet up to 98% of the customers' demands within 48 hours, regardless of the car's make or age, in cooperation with the partner warehouse in Italy's Milan.
Renault's spare parts logistics division employs almost 3,000 staff worldwide, of which 2,600 in Europe, supplying the market with more than a million parts a day.
