Ljubljana, 21 April (STA) - Energy company Petrol generated an estimated EUR 9m in group net profit, according to a press release released on Thursday. The company reported the same amount of profit for the first quarter of 2010.
The group sold 547,000 tonnes of oil products in the first three months of 2011, up 8% on the same period last year and 3% more than planned.
Revenues from sales of merchandise amounted to EUR 109.9m, 3% up on the first quarter of 2010 and 1% less than planned.
At the end of March, Petrol operated 442 service stations, of which 313 in Slovenia, 80 in Croatia, 38 in Bosnia and Herzegovina, 5 in Serbia, 3 in Kosovo and 3 in Montenegro.
The group operated 29 gas supply concessions in the first quarter and is estimated to have sold 50 million m3 of natural gas, up 9%, and 13,000 tonnes of liquefied petroleum gas, up 6% on the same period last year.
The Petrol Group is estimated to have sold 253 thousand MWh of electricity, exceeding by 186% the quantities sold in Q1 of 2010.
The first quarter report will be reviewed by the supervisory board on 17 May.
