Ljubljana, 24 March (STA) - Oil retailer Petrol posted group sales of EUR 2.8bn for 2010, up 20% over the year before. While group operating profit increased 22% to EUR 61.9m, net profit more than trebled from 2009, to EUR 35.5m, the company said Thursday.
Volume sales of oil derivatives rose 5% to 2.35 million tonnes, while merchandise sales were up 9% to EUR 416.6m.
The parent company had net sales of EUR 2.4bn, up a fifth over the year before, and a net profit of EUR 37.9m.
At the end of last year Petrol operated 441 service stations in Slovenia (313), Croatia (79), Bosnia-Herzegovina (38), Serbia (5), Montenegro (3) and Kosovo (3).
