Petrol Prices Up again, Diesel Hits Record High

Ljubljana, 23 July (STA) - Retail prices of petrol will go up in Slovenia on Tuesday in what will be the second price hike this month. The price of diesel will be at a record high.

A litre of regular will be 4.9 cents dearer at EUR 1.482, while the price for premium will go up by 5 cents to EUR 1.500 a litre.

Diesel will be 6.2 cents dearer at EUR 1.382, which is a new record. The highest price so far was set with the 20 March adjustment to EUR 1.365.

Heating oil will also go up, by 5.1 cents to EUR 1.008, fuel retailer OMV said on Monday.

The retail prices of petroleum products in Slovenia are adjusted every two weeks in line with a pricing model combining the price of oil derivatives on global markets and the exchange rate of the US dollar.
