Ajdovscina, 13 July (STA) - Slovenian construction company Primorje will build a 600-metre bridge across the Bojana river near Ulcinj in Montenegro. The Port Milenia Bridge, worth EUR 14m, is expected to be completed in 18 months, the company said in a press release on Tuesday.
"This marks a return of Primorje to the Montenegrin market, where it had already constructed several bridges, including the Union Bridge and the Millenium Bridge, which is one of the landmarks of the capital of Podgorica," Primorje chairman Dusan Crnigoj said.
The Port Milenia Bridge, which is being financed by the Montenegrin government, will be a bascule bridge which will provide clearance for passage of larger boats on the Bojana river.
Another ongoing project by the Ajdovscina-based company in Montenegro is construction and reconstruction of hydrotechnical structures of the Perucica hydro power plant on the Zeta river.
