Producer Prices Down 0.2% in July

Ljubljana, 21 August (STA) - Output prices in industry were down 0.2% in July over the month before and 0.3% lower year-on-year, the Statistics Office said Wednesday. The prices of exported products were 0.2% lower and the prices of manufactured goods sold on the domestic market were down 0.1%.

The output prices decreased the most in the manufacture of coke and petroleum products (by 4.9%), in manufacture of computer and optical products (by 0.7%) and in manufacture of wood, products of wood and cork (by 0.6%).

The biggest increases were recorded in the manufacture of other machinery and equipment (by 0.7%) and in printing and reproduction of recorded media (by 0.5%).

The prices of exported products were 0.2% lower over June, with prices of products sold on the markets outside the euro area decreasing by 0.4% and the prices of products sold on euro area markets by 0.1%.

The prices of exported products decreased the most in manufacture of computer and optical products, by 1.4%, while the prices of manufactured goods sold on the domestic market decreased the most in manufacture of wood, products of wood and cork, by 0.9%.
