Sevnica, 24 January (STA) - The Slovenian civil engineering company Riko signed a EUR 10m contract with the furniture manufacturer Stilles to outfit the five-star Kempinski Hotel in Minsk, Belarus. The hotel, which is a part of a large EUR 150m complex that Riko started building two years ago, is due to be completed by the end of the year.
Stilles, a small enterprise from Sevnica in western Slovenia which exports 95% of all their production, will be in charge of all the interior equipment.
This contract alone is worth as much as the company's turnover last year, Stilles CEO Aleksander Polovič told the press on Friday.
This is not Stilles' first cooperation in Kempinski projects. The contract comes after the furniture manufacturer has already outfitted eight other Kempinski hotels.
The EUR 150m construction is currently the biggest project abroad managed by a Slovenian company, the Riko CEO Janez Škrabec said.
The luxurious complex featuring a hotel, apartments and offices will spread over more than 100,000 square meters.
