Rogaška Slatina, 24 August (STA) - An auction for a 89.53% stake in glassworks Steklarna Rogaška is to be published in early September, according to consultancy KPMG, which runs the sale of the stake that came to the ownership of Ljubljana Archdiocese's company Metropolitana after the collapse of the Maribor Archdiocese's financial firm Zvon Ena.
Unofficial information indicates the owners are aiming to get EUR 6.7m for Steklarna Rogaška.
In late 2011, Metropolitana published a public call for bids for its share in the glassworks, valuing it at EUR 0.36-0.41 per share for the purchase of a majority stake and at EUR 0.27-0.31 for smaller packages.
Several companies are said to be interested in buying the high-end crystalware maker, which generated a net profit of over half a million euros on EUR 34m in revenues last year.
Unofficially, Irish company Waterford is among those interested and is offering EUR 8m for the stake.
Last year, Slovenian company SR Kapital also expressed interest in the purchase, but Steklarna Rogaška has voiced opposition because of the low amount of capital on the company's hands.
