Ljubljana, 15 September (STA) - The average net pay in Slovenia stood at EUR 960.14 in July, which is 0.6% less than in June and up 4.2% year-on-year, according to the Statistics Office.
Average gross pay in July amounted to EUR 1,480.69, 0.7% less than in June and 4% more than in July 2009. In real terms, this represents no change on June and a 1.9% increase in an annual comparison.
Compared to July 2009 gross average pay increased in all statistical sectors. The biggest increase was in manufacturing (8.1%) and agriculture and hunting, forestry and fisheries (7.1%), whereas the smallest was in health care and social work services and education (0.7%).
In the first seven months of the years, Slovenians earned an average net salary of EUR 953.78, which is 4% more than in the same period of 2009. Average gross pay amounted to EUR 1,472.79 and was also up by 4% year-on-year.
