Ljubljana, 27 June (STA) - SID Banka, the state-owned export and development bank, said on Wednesday it would offer a EUR 44m credit line for SMEs which would be available through commercial banks. The funds will be offered as part of a new development programme for financing green technologies.
The bank will finance the projects through a EUR 44m loan from Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW), the German development bank, SID Banka said in a press release.
Banks NKBM, Banka Celje, Banka Koper, Factor banka and Probanka can grant loans of up to EUR 3m per SME whose annual turnover does not exceed EUR 50m for environmental projects, especially in water management and waste management.
Companies can also get loans for financing renewables and efficient use of energy as well as for environmentally friendly production or products.
Banks have to give out the loans to SMEs within three months or return the funds.
