Simobil's Q1 Revenues Up 5.5% Y/Y

Ljubljana, 08 May (STA) - Slovenia's second biggest mobile operator Simobil generated EUR 49.2m in revenue in the first quarter of 2013, which was a 5.5% increase over the same period last year.

Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) were up 9.8% over the same period of 2012 to EUR 7.6m, while earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) increased by 6.1% to EUR 12.8m, according to a quarterly business report of Telekom Austria Group, of which Simobil is a part.

The growth was spurred among other things by an 4.1% increase in Simobil's client base over first quarter 2012 reaching a total of 669,600 users in Slovenia. Simobil currently holds 30% of the Slovenian mobile telephony market.
