Ljubljana/London, 01 November (STA) - Slovenia will be represented by 18 companies at the four-day World Travel Market starting in London on Monday and wishes to focus this year on guests looking for tourism connected to engagements, weddings and honeymoons, the SPIRIT agency for the promotion of enterprise, investment and tourism said.
The lakeside report of Bled, already a popular wedding spot with its castle and island, will be among the highlights.
SPIRIT said Slovenia plans to promote itself as a prestigious and romantic destination for everyone looking for exclusive and new destinations related to weddings and wedding trips.
Slovenia's stall at the high-level fair in London will expand over 152 square metres and feature 18 companies.
The WTM is considered the most important event of the travel industry, but remains closed to the general public.
More than 50,000 business visitors were reported last year, while the fair also attracts more than 2,000 international media representatives each year.
