Ljubljana, 09 September (STA) - Slovenia exported EUR 1.59bn of goods in July, which is a 14.9% rise year-on-year. July imports stood at EUR 1.62bn and were thus 10.9% higher than in July 2009. The export-import ratio was 98.1%, according to preliminary data of the Statistics Office.
In the first seven months of 2010, Slovenia exported EUR 10.46bn worth of goods, up 12.4% year-on-year. Imports meanwhile stood at EUR 10.96bn, up 12.2% year-on-year.
The trade gap in the first seven months was EUR 503.3m and the export-import ratio was 95.4%.
A total of EUR 1.11bn of July exports or 69.9% went to EU member states, while imports from the EU members amounted to EUR 1.26bn or 77.9% of the total imports.
Exports and imports to non-EU countries stood at EUR 479.6m and EUR 358.6m, respectively.
