Slovenia's Exports Strong in February, Imports Down

Ljubljana, 09 April (STA) - Slovenia posted a rare monthly trade surplus in February, as exports rose 2.6% year-on-year to EUR 1.714bn whereas imports plunged 4% to EUR 1.712bn, the Statistics Office said Tuesday.

EU markets accounted for 68.5% of total exports and as much as 74.5% of imports, according to provisional figures.

In the first two months of 2013 exports rose 3% whereas imports were down 0.2%.
