Small Businesses Welcome Govt Measures, Call for More Flexible Workforce

Ljubljana, 19 September (STA) - The Chamber of Trade Crafts and Small Business (OZS) expressed satisfaction with the latests government stimulus package, praising in particular changes related to public procurement and accounting rules for small businesses. The chamber also called for further measures to combat the credit crunch and kick-start the investment cycle.

The chamber moreover wants changes in labour legislation to go in the direction of a more flexible workforce and fewer responsibilities of the employers.

The OZS would like the labour market reform to give employers the power to terminate employment contracts without specifying a reason, without severance pay and with a unified, 30-day notice period.
