Ljubljana, 24 November (STA) - The majority of blue chips had a positive week on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange, which pulled the SBI TOP index 0.72% higher to 588.15 points. Pharma company Krka accounted for EUR 3.2m of EUR 5.2m in total turnover and added 0.32% to EUR 47.
Energy trader Petrol also posted a significant gain of 1.9% to EUR 214 as it reported a 16% year-on-year increase in nine-month profit to EUR 41.9m at the level of the group.
The NBKM bank was meanwhile hit hard again, closing 6.45% lower at EUR 1.16 after the group around the bank reported a EUR 97.6m operating loss for the first nine months of the year.
Most other big names were in the black. Household appliance maker Gorenje added 1.20% to EUR 4.20, insurer Zavarovalnica Triglav was up 1.07% to EUR 15.10, and retailer Mercator closed 0.88% higher at EUR 114.
Standing out on the prime market's losing side were reinsurer Pozavarovalnice Sava, which dropped EUR 8.71% to EUR 6.84, and port operator Luka Koper, which was down 3.87% to EUR 7.21.
