Ljubljana, 10 November (STA) - The week on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange was marked by several acquisition announcements and brought substantial gains for most major items, which pulled the blue chip SBI TOP index 1.2% higher to 593.77 points.
Total turnover reached EUR 10.9m, EUR 3.95m of which was accounted for by Iskra Avtoelektrika, as 16% of the car electronics maker was sold by the bankrupt Zvon 2 holding to industrial group Kolektor.
Pharma company Krka was the most sought item among the blue chips, adding 0.84% to EUR 48 on deals worth EUR 2.3m.
The main winner was the NKBM bank, which surged 6.42% higher to EUR 1.30 after unofficially receiving three bids for its 51% stake in insurer Zavarovalnica Maribor.
Retailer Mercator added 4.89% to EUR 118, while Telekom Slovenije was up 4.78% to EUR 80 as it reported EUR 41m in net profit on group level for the first nine months of the year.
On the other hand, insurer Zavarovalnica Triglav was down 2.21% to EUR 15.01, household appliance maker lost 1.8% to EUR 4.32 and energy trader Petrol closed 1.56% lower at EUR 211.65.
