Catez ob Savi, 30 November (STA) - The net profit of the tourism group around Terme Catez, Slovenia's biggest spa operator, was cut by almost a half year-on-year from EUR 4.7m in the first three quarters of 2009 to EUR 2.5m this year. The group's operating profit in the period meanwhile stood at EUR 34.2m, which is EUR 2.5m less than a year before.
The Terme Catez group plans to finish the year with revenues of EUR 51m, an operating profit of EUR 9.2m and a net profit of EUR 4m, the company said in a release issued through the website of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange on Tuesday.
The parent company generated a net profit of EUR 2.9m in the first nine months of 2010, compared to EUR 3.5m in the same period last year. Revenues fell slightly to EUR 26.1m.
The company's plans for the entire year include revenues of EUR 34m, an operating profit of EUR 7.3m and a net profit of over EUR 5m.
Terme Catez has earmarked around EUR 4m for investments this year.
