Ljubljana, 03 February (STA) - Japanese car maker Toyota will recall 5,800 cars in Slovenia as part of a global pullout affecting millions of vehicles due to defective pedals that can get stuck and cause unwanted acceleration.
The models Aygo, IQ, Yaris, Auris, Corolla, Verso, Avensis and RAV4 will be recalled, the Slovenian Toyota dealer, Toyota Adria, told STA Wednesday.
The owners will be notified next week and repairs will be free of charge.
Additionally, three Citroens C1 and 36 Peugeots 107 will be recalled, the Citroen and Peugeot dealers said.
The cars were produced in a Czech factory that Toyota shares with PSA Peugeot Citroen.
