Ljubljana, 27 February (STA) - Insurance company Triglav posted a group net profit of EUR 69.9m for 2013, down 5% over the year before but 27% above plans, according to preliminary results released on Thursday.
Group gross written premiums dropped 4% to EUR 901m.
The combined ratio, an insurance industry profitability benchmark, is estimated at 91%, an improvement of 3.7 percentage points over 2012.
The company said the results were good considering the adverse economic and financial circumstances.
Full unaudited results are to be released next Friday.
